Barns' own study showed: "Over 90% of predicted heart attacks, as predicted by the Framingham Study, were prevented." (By treating his patients' hypothyroid with oral desiccated thyroid hormone.) And, from his own studies, Dr. Starr reports: "None of the adult patients whom I have treated with more than 2 grains of desiccated thyroid (or the equivalent dosages of compounded T4 and T3 (which are the synthetic forms of thyroid hormones) have ever had a heart attack." (2013-12-04). Of major interest to me since men in my family usually die from heart attacks in their 40s-50s- and 60s. I'm 71 and counting.
